Hello lovelies,

With fall in full swing, I’ve started changing up my makeup routine and have had time to try a lot of new products! This week, I thought I would share a list of 5 highly over-rated beauty products.

Please keep in mind that these are my opinions and that depending on your skin colour, skin type, etc., these products may work differently for you!

       1. Makeup Removing Cloth

Although this product seems like an innovative, eco-friendly idea; I really wasn’t impressed. I literally had to scrub at my skin to get my eyebrows off and still had to use micellar water and wipes after. For $24 at Sephora, I would skip this purchase.

       2. Benefit Cheek and Lip Stain

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Benefit products. This product has super cute packaging but I just couldn’t get behind it. This tint left my skin feeling oily and it didn’t last very long.

       3. Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks

DON’T HATE ME! I love her range of neutral tones and the quality of her pigment but personally, I found the formula drying. These lipsticks stay all day but for the amount of chapped my lips were afterwards, I just personally don’t find it to be worth it.  If you have oily skin / lips you’ll probably think I’m out of my mind…but personally this product just didn’t work for me.

       4. Sweet Peach Mist Mattifying Setting Spray

I personally feel like this whole Sweet Peach line is such a hit or miss. The Sweet Peach Mattifying Setting Spray (despite shaking it like crazy) left me with white dots all over my face, looking like I had baby powder freckles….Coming in at $40.00 + tax, it’s just not worth the money and doesn’t really do the job. HOWEVER, I love the Sweet Peach mattifying setting powder – it smells good, picks up oil and lasts forever and a day.

       5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette

Let me just get this out here….this formula is not pigmented. I luckily purchased this palette at 50% off so I don’t feel too bad, but overall I would say it really isn’t worth the hype. I’d skip this one and go for Kat Von D or another value set.

Simply put I'm a brainy blonde. My friends say I am twins with Elle Woods, and you'll probably find a lot of my inspo comes from her girl-boss attitude. Hope you enjoy my posts as much as I enjoy coming up with content; happy reading babes :)
