5 Drinks That Changed My Healthy Girl Era!

During this past year, I’ve been trying my best to step into my healthy girl era! Whether it’s getting back into the gym, going on more hot girl walks, or making healthy meals that are still super tasty, I’ve noticed how much small changes can make a big difference. One of the biggest game-changers for both mental and physical health is cutting down on sugar. And one of the easiest ways to do that? Ditching those sweet drinks from restaurants, Tim Hortons, or Starbucks that are packed with hidden sugars (and even sneaky ingredients like sucralose).

This summer, I made it a mission to find drinks that are still fun, trendy, and cute to sip on—without having to miss out on hangouts with friends. Here are my top 5:

1. water

As simple as it sounds, water will always be your healthiest drink. Spice it up with ice, a lemon wedge, or some berries. If you like bubbles, grab a sparkling water—my favorite is Bubbly since they have so many flavors. Hydration can be cute with a twist!

2. Herbal Tea

Discovering tea has been one of my favorite healthy girl upgrades. Hot or iced, it’s perfect year-round. Green tea is antioxidant-rich, gives a gentle caffeine boost, and can support metabolism. Spearmint tea helps with digestion, hormone balance, and relaxation. If you want to try more fun flavors, check out David’s Tea—my personal fave is Forever Nuts!

3. Smoothie

For a filling breakfast or post-workout fuel, smoothies are unbeatable. Blend any combo of fruit + veggies, add protein (powder, Greek yogurt, nuts), and finish with a liquid of your choice—milk, water, or coconut water. Extra credit for chia seeds or pumpkin seeds on top. So many delicious combos, and always on-the-go friendly.

4. Starbucks iced teas

If you love your Starbucks runs but want to keep it healthier, try their iced teas: Peach Green Tea, Passion Tango, or Black Tea. You can add lemonade or sugar-free syrup if you like it sweeter. Remember, you can get free refills on these drinks if you stay to study at Starbucks! For a fun low-calorie option, check out @sarahvfit’s viral 5-Calorie Pink Drink hack on Instagram!

5. Poppi

Last but not least, Poppi—basically the it girl of healthy drinks. With fun flavours that taste like soda, low sugar, and gut-friendly prebiotics, it’s the perfect bubbly treat. Plus, some flavours even have a little caffeine boost—great between classes. Definitely my favorite discovery this year!

Whether you’re trying to cut sugar, lower calories, or just switch things up, these drinks will help you feel good while keeping it fun and cute. Cheers to healthier sips!
