The Three Weeks Between Thanksgiving and Winter Break as Explained by Justin Bieber Songs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mich chapter.

‘Tis the (finals) season, and with that comes a rush of emotions. The excitement of end-of-semester festivities, the stress of endless impending papers, projects, and tests, and the anticipation of a much needed break for the holidays. With the most recent wave of illness taking over the student body being the Bieber Fever, it is only fitting that Justin himself explain these hectic few weeks.

When you return to school and have to acknowledge how much work you have before the end of the semester: “Bad Day”

And that moment was so hard for me to breathe…now I’m like ‘wow’…it was a bad day.”

When you actually start doing the work and wish you had opened your backpack at least once over thanksgiving: “Sorry”

“Is it too late now to say sorry?” Yes, Justin, unfortunately it is.

When you realize you don’t actually understand any of your end-of-the-year work: “What Do You Mean?”

“Ohh I really wanna know…what do you mean?”  What does any of it mean, Justin?????

When you have to reach out to a friend to help with said impossible work: “Overboard”

“I’m overboard, and I need your love help, pull me up, I can’t swim on my own.”

When you start to understand, and kind of get your life together: “Be Alright”

“Through the storm and through the clouds…bumps on the road…everything’s gonna be alright.”

When you think about how Winter Break is so close, and yet so far: “Where Are Ü Now”

Where are you now that I need you.” Like, really, really, REALLY need you.

When you start to believe you really can do well on your finals: “Never Say Never”

“Whenever you knock me down, I will not stay on the ground, pick it up and never say never.” You can’t knock me down, 8 page paper due the same day as two final exams!

When you at least get to rock the ugly (but still cute) Christmas sweater to a themed holiday party: “Confident”

“She’s confident, you could tell by the way she walks in the room.” Pretty much the only thing there is to be confident about right now.

When you watch your friend finish finals and go home a full week before you get to: “That Should Be Me”

That should be me, this is so sad, that should be me.”

When you yourself finally finish and hand in all of your tests/projects/papers: “Pray”

I close my eyes and I can see a better day…I close my eyes and pray.” More like pray you didn’t fail lol.

And finally, when you pack up and head back home: “Home to Mama”

You’re the one I wake up thinking about, the one I can run to when I’m feeling down, life is all good when you’re around.” You = home.
