Spring to Summer Wardrobe

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mich chapter.

Given the still chilly temperatures, it’s hard to believe that it is spring and soon it will be summer! Hopefully warm weather is near and we will no longer have to wear the jeans/sweater/boots combination (while a lovely combination, it can feel repetitive) any longer. While we wait for those sunny days, we can at least dream of changing our wardrobe. Here are some pieces that could carry you into spring and summer. Happy shopping!

Colorful jewelry:

Even if it’s too cold to change into warmer clothes, at least we can buy some colorful jewelry. Bright and bold necklaces can make an outfit pop.

Blazers:

Any type of jacket, but especially a tailored blazer, can pull together an outfit. If you have broad shoulders like me, make sure to look for a more streamlined fit.

Bags:

While a black bag is classic and timeless, a lighter bag seems a bit more fitting for summer. A classic leather tote is a great option to bring to a work while a small cross-body bag is compact and easy for every day, nighttime or weekends.

Wedges:

Hello comfort. Wedges are infinitely more comfortable than heels, thus we should take advantage of them. Thankfully, they come in all different heel heights.

Dresses:

Nothing says summer like a dress: either casual, or more work appropriate.
