Fast and Furious star, Paul Walker, tragically died in a car accident on this past Saturday (November 30th.) The accident occurred in Santa Clarita, California while he was driving a Porsche Carrera GT, which is a sports car with three times the horsepower of an average car. Walker’s friend, who was driving, lost control of the car and slammed into a pole where the car suddenly went up in flames within one minute after the crash. There were heroic efforts to try and pull Walker and the driver out of the car, but those efforts were unsuccessful. The car is not a typical car that is seen on the roads, there are currently only 1,300 of them manufactured. The porsche is expensive; the engine is in the middle; it has no stability control, and it flies on the road. Speed was a main problem in this accident, and it’s a good lesson to others that abiding by the speed limits are crucial. Drag racing has been ruled out as a factor to cause this accident. There is also no evidence of a fluid leak. This fatal accident touched the hearts of many American’s as Walker was an incredibly well-respected actor. Currently, his family is mourning his death, especially his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow. There is a makeshift memorial from fans at the site of the crash. A portion of the proceeds from the Fast and Furious (six) DVD’s are going to supports Walker’s charity. Paul started a charity, Reach Out Worldwide, to help Philippines who were affected by the recent typhoon. Paul had a genuine desire to help out others. Fast and Furious is in the middle of its seventh movie and the filming will start again, but sadly without Walker. Rewrites will be necessary for the final shots of the film. Shooting was supposed to resume a few days after Walker’s death.Â
