Turtlenecks have the unfortunate association of being worn by 50-year-old women in stuffy drab offices. However, this season the turtleneck is making its comeback on the necks of the modern woman. If you are wondering how one wears this unusual mix of a sweater and scarf, check out these great ideas!

1. Try a patterned turtleneck with small embellishments for a quirky take on a classic. Pair with simple black pants to streamline the look.  A chunky sparkly choker around the neck will also add a  bit of glam to this outfit.

2. If you’re into the preppy look, think about wearing your turtleneck with slim-fit khakis and a blazer. This will add clean cuts and straight lines to a usually comfy-looking top. Stack some bracelets on one arm and throw on some pearl earrings to complete this look.

3. Throw it back to the ’70s and pair a suede, camel skirt with an interesting trim with a high black turtleneck. Add high black boots and a cute leather bag and you’ve got a sleek yet girly outfit, perfect for a day in the city or a casual lunch with friends.
