In less than one week, I am about to throw on my cap and gown and formally graduate with all of my friends. But before I do so, I wanted to thank a few people.

First of all, I want to thank my incredible university because attending this institution taught me the true meaning of “leaders and the best.” People know Michigan students for their pride.  And there’s a reason for this. I was nervous about coming into a big school with over 25,000 students. Between the many communities I have been able to join, including Greek Life, Hillel, and even campus organizations like Her Campus, this university has felt more tight knit than anything I have ever experienced. I would therefore  like to thank the team of amazing educators who pushed me to challenge myself and develop a whole new love for learning.

What would a thank you be without acknowleding my parents? These people gave me unconditional love and support throughout my college experience.  Although I may not express myself appropriately all of the time, I  am writing this to let them know how much their encouragement meant to me. But my family would not be complete without my sister. For some reason, although you were not here with me Ally, I feel like you were. Thanks for always supporting me through everything: through every paper, every exam, and every friendship. Now I know that  no matter what, I can count. This applies to having my back, visitng me, and always helping me whenever I struggle.  That’s what sisters are for, right? Well, if there’s any validity to the previous statement, you have done your job well.

To my friends: thank you for always being there for me. In just less than two weeks, we will be apart for longer than I ever want us to be. I never expected that I would stay in I would not be the one returning to New York right away with all of you.. Without you Ann Arbor will not be the same.  I will miss our sorority lunches, time at the gym, gossip, and our late night study sessions to millenial music. I wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavours, and urge you to keep me in the back of your mind because you will always be in the back of mine. I am just a phone call away.

Lastly, I need to thank Her Campus. My membership on the editorial board not only allowed me to produce content, but it also gave me an extended family. Her Campus gave me friends to brunch with, to laugh with, and ones to lean on during difficult times. I needed that in college.

Good luck everyone, it’s been a fun ride.
