Don’t Have Those Post-Break Blues!

I know, it’s rough coming back to school after a week on the beach.  As I write this, I’m sitting in bed on my last night at home, dreading the drive to Ann Arbor tomorrow—when reality will set.  However, I realized that the best is yet to come.  The time between spring and summer break is probably my favorite time of the year (although football season comes in close!) for a variety of reasons, many of which I’m sure you share.

The change in wardrobe is refreshing.
When spring is in the air, you can finally break out those sundresses, flowy tops, and strappy sandals that have been collecting dust for the past few months!  Even though the beginning of March is often cold and snowy, April is right around the corner.  Plus, we’re in Michigan—we could easily have a snowstorm and 60?F weather in the same week!  Among my packed clothes are my new maxi dress, Jack Rogers sandals, and printed shorts, all of which I can’t wait to slip on again.

There are a variety of fun events that take place.
What good are all of those cute clothes if you have nowhere to go?  With the end of the year approaching, there is so much going on in Ann Arbor, including Dance Marathon, Relay for Life, Greek Week, and an abundance of philanthropy events.  Spring also marks formal season for sororities and fraternities, so the confidence you’ll have while wearing your favorite spring clothes can help you snag that cutie you’ve been waiting to ask!

Summer is that much closer.
After spring break, there’s only a month and a half left until summer!  Need I say more?

So, the next time you find yourself mourning spring break, stop!  There is more excitement about coming back to school than you think.
