During our last two weeks of school and just in time for Relay for Life, Her Campus UMich has partnered up with Save the Tatas!  Save the Tatas is a breast cancer awareness foundation that sells t-shirts, bracelets, pins, stickers, and many other fun everyday apparel and accessories with the mission of educating the public about breast cancer and loving their tatas.  The way they see it, if all women love their tatas, why would they want to lose them?  With every item sold on the site, at least 25 percent of the proceeds are used to fight breast cancer.  Over $648,000 has been donated to breast cancer research by Save the Tatas Foundation to date! With every $50,000 made, the foundation provides salaries to independent breast cancer researchers for one full year!  In order to receive this generous beneficiary, researchers have to go through a very selective application process; right now, Save the Tatas is currently funding three researchers.

Their website, www.savethetatas.com, boasts photos of girls in their tatas shirts, news and events happening that are related to the brand, stories shared by people affected by breast cancer and survivors, and blogging buddies who share their stories with each other through their journeys.

So why did we bring Save the Tatas to Michigan?  We want the women of Michigan to rock their tatas, love their tatas, and want to save their tatas.  So many people are being affected by breast cancer every day.  Through distributing Save the Tatas buttons, stickers, flyers, and other merchandise to students on campus and at Relay for Life, we hope to spread awareness and prevent more pain from the tatas, something that all girls should cherish!
