Her Campus: Favorite thing to binge on Netflix?
Anna Goldenberg: Parenthood, but I would rather binge listen to music.
HC: Okay, so what music do you binge on?
AG: Of Monsters and Men, Coleman Hell, Vampire Weekend, Bob Marley, U2, The Black Keys, Walk the Moon, The Bleachers, Ingrid Michaelson, and a bunch more, but those are the favorites.
HC: Favorite Study Spot on Campus?
AG: The school of social work!
HC: What are you involved in on campus?
AG: I’m a part of Chi Omega. I’m also involved in the club More Than Me which raises money and awareness to help get young girls off the streets of Liberia and into school. And lastly, I was recently accepted for the Director of Special Events position for MRelay.
HC: Why is MRelay so important to you?
AG: I always struggle with answering this question probably because it’s so complex, but I guess the simplest answer would be that MRelay is incredibly important to me because I wish for a day that no one will ever have to hear the words “you have cancer” or “your dad has cancer.” Like so many others, cancer has hit my family hard, but I’m much more fortunate than others because this October my Dad, who battled and won his fight against Melanoma cancer, got his 10 year clean bill of health. Because of him I will continue to fight this insidious disease and work towards a day where no one will ever have to go through what my family and millions of other families go through.
MRelay Kickoff is this Monday from 8-10 pm in the Michigan League!! There will be fun activities, freebies, powerful speakers and a chance to sign up for our first fundraiser happening through the month of October, GrowBlue.
