1. Bradley Cooper’s Presence

Not only does Bradley Cooper appear as easy on the eyes as ever, but he wows his audience with his vocal talent and guitar ability in playing the role of country star Jackson Maine. Although Bradley Cooper never fails to impress, this film in particular takes his acting career to incredible heights as it exposes his true talent as a performer and his versatility as an actor. The emotion and insecurity that underlie Bradley’s unhinged character sets the mood of the entire film. He surpasses the stereotypes of a traditional American country singer through his depiction of a brooding star entrenched in his own insecurities and deepening angst.

2. Lady Gaga’s radiating voice

While I have never been a Lady Gaga fan myself, this movie has completely changed my perspective. The raw talent and power that lie behind her voice are strong enough to move even her harshest critics. Watching her perform on the big screen as the aspiring singer Ally was truly a stirring experience that left me in awe. Her vocal cords are untouchable. Her force of a voice is unmatchable.

3. The Soundtrack

The songs in this movie are captivating, heartfelt, and honestly unforgettable. Singing with blood, sweat, and tears, protagonists Jackson and Ally carry each tune with the utmost passion. The array of songs perfectly captures the essence of the movie as each song fits in at the right moment, reflecting the exact point in the plot. The songs unitedly carry the narrative along, reflecting Ally’s transformation along her path to stardom and the ill-fated romance between the love-struck singers. After watching this movie, I can guarantee that you’ll be inclined to play this tear-jerking soundtrack on repeat.

4. The Chemistry Between Jackson and Ally

The second these two locked eyes, the chemistry was inevitable. Their emotional connection and uncontainable love for each other’s raw talent as singers shapes the intense depth of their relationship. Mesmerized by each other’s musical gifts, Ally and Jackson became entrenched in loving each other . Their differing paths as singers and Jackson’s spiraling struggle with his internal demons make their romance almost impossible. The fragility and vulnerability of these two lovers is what makes their romance tragic yet beautiful.

5. Jackson’s Iconic Line

Hearing “I just Wanna Get Another Look at You” never gets old. Jackson says this to Ally twice in the film. The second time even more warming than the first, this line alludes to all the right feels and epitomizes the sweepingly electric nature of their love story.
