The 4 Quintessential Boots of the Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mich chapter.

With the fall season in full bloom, it’s time to transform your wardrobe and that means fancying up your footwear!  We’ve got you covered with the four must-have boots of the season.

The Ankle Bootie

Turn to the ankle bootie for a fabulous way to add a little glam and spice to any outfit.  With their small heels and short cut look, ankle booties make for an eye-catching variation that’s bound to turn heads any time of day.  You can wear them to class with a pair of dark denim jeans or sport them during the evening to dress up your classic LBD.

The Riding Boot

These will become your go-to boots of the season, so if you’re going to splurge on a pair of shoes—it should be these!  The Riding Boot is a classic shoe that will work with just about every piece of clothing that’s hanging in your wardrobe (seriously).  Complete any ensemble with a pair of these boots and you’ll look polished, sophisticated, and classy.  Who knew a simple boot could do so much?

 The Winter Boot

Every collegiette is guilty of owning a pair of those infamous UGG boots that keep our feet feeling warm and cozy during those chilly winter months.  These boots are perfect to wear with jeans, yoga pants, or sweats during the bitter cold days of December when it takes a little extra effort parting from our beds on those frigid mornings.  Don’t get too attached to your UGG’s by wearing them every day though—apparently most boys think UGG’s are silly and make our feet look ginormous! Is that enough persuasion to ditch the boots that we could live in 24/7?

The Rain Boot

Even if it doesn’t rain all that often where you live, rain boots are the perfect excuse to buy a pair of unique, adorable, and fun boots.  Rain boots come in all sorts of patterns, prints, and designs and can brighten up even the gloomiest of days.  Get ready to start singing in the rain once you have a pair of these boots in stow!
