Gifts I Would Add to My Christmas Wishlist if I Didn’t Already Have Them

As I grow older, I’ve noticed a shift and how I feel each holiday season. I find myself caring less about the number of gifts and more about how useful and meaningful those items will truly be. It’s incredibly easy to get caught up in trendy products, flashy advertisements, and can’t miss sales.  This holiday season I challenge you, just as I will be challenging myself, to think about what gifts genuinely add value to your life and truly mean something to you. With that in mind, I have compiled a list of my top holiday wishlist items that I would ask for if I didn’t already have them.

  1. Long Champ Le Pliage Tote Bag – $150

Number one on the list I have a Long Champ tote bag

I received the medium-sized version last year for Christmas and have dedicated it to my school bag. After nearly a year of constant use, I can 100% say I am obsessed! The bag has a sleek elegant look while also being extremely sturdy and still looking brand new (despite all its been through). On a typical day I carry my laptop, headphones, water bottle, phone, notebook, and pencil case. It’s a lot of stuff yet it never feels bulky or unstable. After trying countless bags and backpacks, I will say that this is the best one. It’s truly a piece that not only looks beautiful, but will last many years to come.

  1. Ugg Tasman – $125

Next on the list are Ugg Tasman’s

A few years ago, these were on everyone’s wishlist, and rightfully so. Considering the hype these shoes got a couple years ago, many may already have these but, if you don’t, now is the time! Not only are the shoes extremely comfortable, but they can truly elevate a look and keep you warm in the treacherous New England winters. I personally have the chestnut color, but if you’re looking for a more elevated look they have some unique designs including a cheetah print one!  If the Tasman’s aren’t too much your style, any Ugg boots will deliver the warmth, coziness, and style! Whichever color and style you pick, long lasting Uggs are a true winter essential.

  1. Uniqlo T-Shirt – $15

Next on the list we have Uniqlo T-Shirts

This may seem like  a more simple wish, but once you get your first t-shirt you’ll wonder why you didn’t switch sooner. They have a variety of different styles, but my personal favorite is the Mini Tee. These shirts are made out of great quality cotton, come in a variety of colors, and have a super flattering fit. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, they’re only $14.90. A total steal!  I’ve had some of mine for almost 4 years and they still look brand new. No fading, no stains, no stretching, just a good quality long-lasting must.

  1. Nespresso Coffee Machine – $90

At number four I have  placed the beloved Nespresso Machine

I also received this for Christmas last year and to say that it is a game-changer is an understatement. So many people spend hundreds and thousands of dollars every year going out for coffee. The Nespresso machine gives that coffee shop feel while being in the comfort of your own home. You can get value packs of their coffee flavors or even make your own pods. I also love trying new recipes like cookie butter, or pumpkin spice lattes, which are super fun by the way. I use my machine almost every day and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

  1. Hoodie Blanket – $26

Lastly on the list is the hoodie blanket

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, imagine a giant hoodie made out of the coziest blanket material. I’d say I wear mine about 60% of the time I’m at home, for real. They come in various different colors, styles, and sizes, making them literally the perfect gift for anyone. If I didn’t already have one, I would add it to my wishlist again and again.

During the holidays, it’s important not only to choose gifts that are super trendy but ones that will be well loved and cherished for years to come. With the ever growing consumerism in our society, it’s so easy to get caught up in things that may not actually bring that much value into your life. This holiday season I dare you to make that change and choose quality over quantity. Everyone is different, but I hope that my wishlist gave you a bit of inspiration, whether that means a few new items to your list or just to simply give you perspective on what items will bring value to your life! Here’s to a thoughtful, giving season filled with intention and joy!
