Your Wicked Character Based on Your Homework Habits

Ladies, gentlemen, and all other friends — Wicked: For Good is almost here! So while we are all in the midst of our fall semester, your study habits (or lack thereof) might reveal more than your GPA. Whether you’re procrastinating writing an essay or rewriting it for the seemingly 10th time, your habits say a lot about which Wicked character you really are.

Grab your highlighters and let’s find out who you’d be at Wicked’s Shiz University!

Elphaba: The Overachiever

You are the kind of student who isn’t fulfilled from just doing homework — you have to understand the intricacies and contemplate them while you’re at it. The overachieving type will write a five-page analysis when asked for five paragraphs. They politely argue with professors, cite sources precisely, and question everything

In a group setting, if someone slacks off, you are disappointed. People might see you as intense, but you just care a lot.

Signature Move: Finishes early, then rewrites the whole thing because “it could be stronger.”

Glinda: The Perfectionist

You are the student with the perfect notes — they look like they could be displayed in a museum. The perfectionist type has the most beautiful stationery set you’ve ever seen, with hundreds of highlighters and fancy pens that probably cost a pretty penny.

You are probably a teacher’s pet, knowing exactly how to use your charm to make your professors adore you. You have a desire to stay on top, and sometimes this can play into your demise — whether that be using others to your advantage or spending too much time on your homework.

Signature Move: Writes their essay in their Notes app during a quick breakfast, turns it in about an hour later, and still gets an A.

Fiyero: The Procrastinator

You are the “I’ll do it later” kind of student (note: later means like 2 a.m.). However, it always somehow works out for you in the end. Skimming is the procrastinator’s best friend. When it comes time for discussion, you always manage to sound smart in class — but let’s be so for real, you are definitely making things up out of thin air.

But you get things deeply when you let yourself focus — you avoid it because who even has the time of day?

Signature Move: Writes the paper the night before but adds a quote so good it sounds like they’ve been planning it for weeks.

Boq: The Over-Planner

You make to-do lists for to-do lists. The over-planner type loves to time-block their schedule, but when it’s time to actually start, they practically can’t. You crave approval from anyone and everyone — teachers, peers, and Glinda, obviously

You’re intelligent, but your weakness is underestimating yourself constantly. You are very passive, living life simply by waiting to be told what to do next.

Signature Move: Has read the rubric 47 times and still rereads the rubric “one more time” for reassurance.

Nessarose: The Idealist

You start off the semester with high hopes and expectations. You have neat notes, meet your deadlines early, and your backpack is cleaner than a five-star hotel room. But something cracks. You miss one assignment and are suddenly spiraling.

The idealist cares so much about doing things right, but when you lose control, you panic. You put your whole heart and soul into your assignments, and when that effort isn’t seen, it hurts.

Signature Move: Pulls all-nighters not because they have to, but because the idea of a B feels like betrayal.

The Wizard: The Pretender

No one gets work done like you, or at least appears to. In every discussion, you sound confident and somehow get away with reading an AI summary on the whole book. You love the attention and the admiration of being smart. AI is probably your best friend.

Deep down, you have a guilty conscience that fears of getting caught. Not for cheating but for faking your competence.

Signature Move: Says “it’s just a rough draft” — it’s the only draft.

Madame Morrible: The Orchestrator

Disorganized is not a word in your vocabulary. You manage deadlines the way that military generals handle their battle plans. Your Google Calendar is compact, and your notes are formatted like essays. You love control — maybe a bit too much.

You’re ambitious and confident, but slightly terrifying in group projects (in a good way). People come to you for help, and you deliver.

Signature Move: Finishes everything early, then micromanages everyone else’s progress out of “concern.”

So who are you? Do you rewrite your papers like Elphaba or charm your way through them like Glinda? Either way, remember you’re doing your best!
