Does this sound familiar? You buy a bunch of really cute crystals because you’ve decided that it’s time to become more ✨spiritual✨. But once you actually get them, they just end up sitting on your shelf like any other one of your dorm room decorations. It’s okay, we’ve all been there. While it’s true that crystals make stunning decor, there are so many different ways that you can use them to enhance your everyday life! Here’s your guide to making sure that you utilize their wonderful properties to the fullest. So pick them up, dust them off, and let’s get into it.

Amethyst

This crystal is known for its beautiful purple hue, but more importantly, its calming effect. Amethyst is literally a lifesaver for stressed-out college students. If you have trouble falling asleep at night (me too), putting amethyst underneath your pillow works like a charm. On days when you feel a bit anxious or stressed, carrying it in your pocket can help ease your heart and mind.

carnelian

Carnelian is basically a ray of sunshine in a crystal. It sparks energy, confidence, and creativity. It’s like your own personal hype-woman (hype-crystal?) that knows you can achieve anything you put your mind to and is determined to make you remember it. Try putting Carnelian in spaces for your work or studies, such as your pencil case, binder, or backpack.

Red Jasper

Fallen victim to frat flu? Red Jasper’s got your back. Its many properties include enhancing the immune system, reducing inflammation, and alleviating pain. One thing that most people don’t know about red jasper is that it can also help enhance your appearance. So, if you wanna look a little extra cute for a date or give off more campus crush vibes, carrying Red Jasper will help you with just that.

rose quartz

Also referred to as the “heart stone”, Rose Quartz is a crystal of unconditional love. Although rose quartz is often seen as a crystal that will get you into a relationship, its power lies in its healing and self-love properties. It’s very normal and easy to feel insecure in college, and we often don’t spend enough time taking care of or appreciating ourselves. Placing rose quartz in spaces meant to benefit you, such as by your skincare, can help you improve your feelings of self-worth. It can also be beneficial to place it in your bra (if there’s enough space and it’s not uncomfortable) as rose quartz has a connection to your heart.

malachite

Feeling stuck, unmotivated, or afraid to step out of your comfort zone? Malachite is the perfect little kick to get you going as it encourages you to take risks and be brave. It is known as the “stone of transformation”, which is perfect if you feel like your life has been a little stagnant recently. Malachite is best to keep in your dorm or apartment, as it has protective energies and will get rid of stagnant energy.

citrine

This crystal is your best friend when it comes to focus and positive energy. Many students struggle with focusing due to busy schedules and a heavy workload, but bringing citrine with you works like magic to treat the tiredness. It helps you stay motivated and on track, a must during your busy academic seasons. Just like Carnelian, you can carry it with you in places that are heavily work or study-focused.

I hope you’ve learned a little bit about how you can incorporate crystals into your daily life! They’re a fun way to enhance your daily life and make you feel like you’re taking extra care of yourself. Enjoy!
