The Sisters On The Runway 4th Annual Benefit Fashion Show

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

Sisters on the Runway is truly an inspiring organization that first came to UMass in 2010 thanks to Alissar Taremi and Kaelyn Siversky.

The organization focuses on fundraising and spreading awareness for the women and children affected by domestic violence. The majority of their money is raised from the annual fashion show held at UMass each year. All proceeds are donated to Safe Passage, a shelter located in Amherst’s neighboring town Northampton, that offers counseling and support for survivors of domestic violence.

The Sisters on the Runway 4th Annual Fashion Show is going to take place this Saturday March 1st, 2014 in the UMass Campus Center Auditorium. Tickets go on sale at 5:00pm and doors open at 6:00pm. Tickets will be priced at $12 for students and $20 for adults.

It’s going to be a fun-packed event with red carpet photos, mocktails, a dessert bar, raffles and giveaways! There will also be a dance performance, a live DJ and a guest speaker from Safe Passage.

SOTR has worked hard to make this an amazing event, so it is definitely not one to miss, Collegiettes. It will be a great time for a great cause!
