Pumpkin Spice And Everything Nice: My Favorite Fall Snacks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

The season of swirling golden leaves and pumpkin spice lattes is upon us! We’re currently right in the middle of autumn and it’s one of the best times of the year, in my opinion. We’ve completed Halloween and now we’re on track to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and others – almost the most wonderful time of the year! And what better way to celebrate this amazing season but through food? Below I’ve provided for you some of my favorite fall recipes ever. Take a break from studying and work and start indulging!

Pumpkin Pie Crescents

These delectable treats are crunchy on the outside, sweet and rich on the inside, covered in a deliciously sweet glaze. The best part? They only take 20 minutes to make.

Cinnamon Rolls

Who doesn’t love cinnamon rolls? Nothing reminds me of cinnamon and vanilla more than the fall season. Treat yourself to delicious homemade cinnamon rolls. Way better than storebought. If you’re in search for a recipe, try taking a look through Pinterest for hundreds of ideas!

Dirt Cups

Can you say easy?! This is one of the easiest recipes on the list, literally only requiring 4 ingredients, 3 of which contain chocolate. For the chocolate-lover in you, spend some time making this delicious treat post-Halloween. It will take you right back to your childhood for sure.

Salted Caramel Apple Hand Pies

Why make an entire pie when you can make a personal pie just for yourself? If you hate sharing your food, this is the perfect recipe for you. This is fall literally wrapped up in a dessert – salted caramel and apple pie. What could be better?

Autumn Breakfast Parfait

For all my people that love making those breakfast parfaits, this one’s for you. I typically make mine with yogurt, granola, and a bit of honey, but this takes parfaits to a whole new level—one that screams fall. Substitute plain granola for crushed walnuts, a delicious buttery breadcrumb mix, and a homemade applesauce, and you’re ready to serve up an amazing new breakfast parfait.

Apple Cider Donuts

Apple cider donuts are the first food I think of when I think of autumn. I’ve definitely consumed way more apple cider donuts this past month than I should have, but it’s all good. This is an easy way to make your own donuts and put your own fall spin on them. As someone who has personally used this recipe in the past years to cook for her family, I highly recommend

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

For my smoothie-loving girls out there, this is literally just 6 ingredients—most of which you should have at home. Adding a little agave or honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top at the end will really make this the perfect post-workout smoothie to drink while enjoying the falling leaves outside.

Fall is one of the best times of year, and having an amazing arsenal of recipes to bring your friends and family together will make this one even better than before. Give these a try!
