New to CoHo? The Order in Which You Should Read Colleen Hoover’s Best Romances

Thinking about starting your CoHo journey after all those TikToks and social media posts raving about It Ends With Us? I have the perfect guide for how to navigate your reading journey of CoHo’s worlds of romance.

It ENDS WITH US

Perhaps her most “popular” read, It Ends With Us is the perfect novel to kick off your start to Colleen Hoover. A romance and a drama (what great book isn’t?!); It Ends With Us tells an important story about love and relationships in our lives. This book will get you used to Hoover’s writing as well as show you just what makes her novels so good; not to mention, the ending you wouldn’t expect.

UGLY LOVE

Words cannot describe the passion I have for this book and nearly not enough people have read it. One of my ultimate favorites from the CoHo collection, Ugly Love is a sweet romance bringing two damaged souls together and through love, they heal. This is the perfect book for cozying up on a Sunday afternoon to feel warm and fuzzy. This book will show you the sweet side of CoHo, for sure.

VERITY

Verity is a book in CoHo’s collection unlike any other. While a romance, Verity is most definitely categorized as a psychological thriller. I’m not one for horror movies all that much, but this book is a read I can guarantee you won’t put down once you start. Most people I’ve talked to say they read it in a day (including myself!). After getting a few sentimental and sweet moments in from CoHo in It Ends With Us and Ugly Love, Verity is a great “next chapter” for your reading guide.

November 9

I won’t lie, I was hesitant to read this at first. The premise of November 9 is two characters that feel an instant connection and agree to meet up on the same day in the same location, once a year, on November 9. No cell phone numbers, no social media, no contact. Intriguing? Yes. However, my first thought was that I’d be dragged through a book where each year would pass, their relationship wouldn’t progress much, things would fall apart, etc. I shouldn’t have doubted CoHo (lesson learned). Following Verity, this book is the perfect sweet and sentimental read to remind you of Hoover’s insane writing abilities.

all your perfects

Lastly, we’ve come to All Your Perfects. In this book, Hoover’s abandoned the early 20s romance scene and instead brings us into the lives of a couple worn down by the complications of fertility. This novel is heartbreaking and beautiful all at once. It’s the perfect book that’ll wreck you completely and then put you back together again. After you finish this one, your CoHo journey will be unstoppable.

I hope you all enjoy CoHo as much as I do! I can’t wait for the day one of her books gets adapted into a screenplay (can you imagine Verity as a film?!). If you want more information regarding Hoover and her books, feel free to join a Facebook group or peruse BookTok. I’m sure you’ll find some great content anywhere.
