Meet Allie Bush, a Communication major who is graduating tomorrow. Allie has been a part of Her Campus UMass since the beginning, taking on the role of Facebook Director this year. We sat down with her to talk about Parks & Rec and her time at UMass.

HC: What is your best UMass memory?

AB: Oh man, I can’t pick just one! And to be honest, I don’t know if there is one specific moment or time that I can label “the best.” A mix of so many small and big moments have made my entire 4 years be one great memory. I have fond memories that range from freshman year–sitting up on the hill with my best friend–to going to shows on campus by some of the various talented student performance groups, to going on hikes in the fall (and complaining of side stitches the whole time), to spending too much time in Blue Wall. I’d like to actually dedicate this answer to all of the old campus eateries that have passed on in my time here: old Blue Wall, the Hatch, old Hamp, this is for you.

HC: If you could start your time at UMass over, what would you do differently?

AB: Hmmm…I would start doing things sooner. My time at UMass only got better and better with each passing year because I reached out more and got more involved with various activities. I was far too hesitant my freshman year and wish I branched out sooner. But I am happy with where I am today!

HC: What’s something you’ve learned from being in Her Campus?

AB: I’ve strengthened my writing and gotten better at writing for an audience. I think I finally found that balance between writing about something that interests me, and will also interest an audience.

HC: What’s your dream job?

AB: I would love to work in the television industry, maybe even work my way up into producing or directing. If that doesn’t work out, then a Ben & Jerry’s taste tester for sure.

HC: Which TV character do you identify with most and why?

AB: Leslie Knope. Leslie Knope. Leslie Knope. She is everything I aspire to be. She is ambitious, smart, and not afraid to speak her mind. And she prioritizes what really matters in life: waffles, friends, and work. I also like to tell people that Amy Poehler is my real mom. My actual mother really appreciates that.

HC: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

AB: Scranton, Pennsylvania. But actually I really don’t know! I haven’t seen enough places to definitively decide. Too much to see, too little time! But preferably somewhere with little-to-no snow. That stuff ain’t cute anymore.

HC: Kill, marry, kiss: Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth & Chris Evans.

AB: None of the above; the three of us go on a day of adventure together. The adventure includes, but is not limited to:

-Driving around in Pratt’s PT cruiser convertible. Do you suppose that’s the kind of car he drives? (Oh yeah, I call him Pratt because we’re buds.)

-Sonic Drive-In

-Pedicures (don’t they seem like the pedicure type?)

-Mario Kart

-Karaoke competition at some dive bar and we sing “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen and obviously we win the cash prize

-Pratt offers me a cameo role in Guardians of the Galaxy 2

-A murder mystery dinner, if there’s time
