What’s better than getting your friends together, and having a great time? Nothing. But what does make it even more fun is when it’s mid-July and you’re in your favorite outfit, going to see your favorite band. Roadtrip! This summer, there’s a ton of awesome musicians on tour! Here are just a few of some of the best concerts you and your friends should go to.

1. The 1989 World Tour

I had to start off this list with the one and only, red lipstick and glittery microphone wielding, Taylor Swift. Let’s be real for a second, you might not have ever been a big Taylor Swift fan. I know I’m not a ‘Swiftie’ and I never really cared for much of her recent music. Until 1989 came out that is. This album deserves every award it has gotten. This album has turned the entire country into a nation of Swifties.  You jam out to in your car, we all do, so why not go see Tay in concert this summer? Accompanying her will be Vance Joy and Shawn Mendes. The 1989 Tour has stops all over North America and has already sold out at almost every date, so get your tickets fast or you’ll be out of style! (See what I did there?)

2. The Pinkprint Tour

Nicki Minaj is no longer a woman to be joked about. With the release of her album, The Pinkprint, Minaj has made herself a staple in the charts. Again, some people hate her and some people love her, but I think she has proven herself as a fantastic artist with this album. She slows it down a little with songs revealing her upset love life like “Grand Piano” but still keeps it classic Nicki with outrageous songs like “Anaconda”. Nicki is bringing along Meek Mill, Rae Sremmurd, Tinashe, and Dej Loaf on the Pinkprint Tour. It is no doubt that these shows are going to be absolutely wild, don’t miss out on seeing Queen Nicki slaaay.

3. Vans Warped Tour

Changing genres a bit, we have the classic Alternative Rock Summer Tour, Warped Tour. This is going to be the 21st summer that bands have been sweeping the country and rocking out with hundreds of fans every day. I’ve gone to the Vans Warped Tour 4 times and every year it is my favorite day of summer. Hundreds of musicians have gotten their career launched from Warped Tour including Katy Perry, Eminem, Blink-182, and many more. Warped Tour is a great place to broaden your musical horizons and listen to a band you’ve never heard of before. Are you ready to rock out this summer?

4. Boston Calling

Every May and September for one weekend, Boston is flooded with great music and happy people. You should probably be one of these happy people. Boston Calling has only been around for a few years but has gained quite a following in the New England area. This year the headlining musical groups are Beck, My Morning Jacket, and The Pixies. There are tons of other bands performing as well, all of them of the alternative genre. Don’t miss out on one of the coolest musical events in Massachusetts!

5. The Jekyll & Hyde Tour

For the Country music fans, I know it’s heartbreaking that Country Fest doesn’t really happen anymore, but do not fear! Zac Brown Band is here! Zac Brown Band have a new album coming out April 28th named Jekyll and Hyde and it is going to be just like all of their other albums: perfect. Their twangy sound and beautiful harmonies have gained them thousands and thousands of fans over the years, making them one of the most famous country music artists around. What’s even better about the Jekyll and Hyde Tour? Zac Brown Band loves Boston, so they are performing three shows at Fenway Park this summer! Drop what you are doing and get tickets now because these concerts are sure to sell out almost as fast as they can fiddle their electric violins.

6. The Boys of Zummer Tour

This year there is a very different kind of summer tour going around. The Boys of Zummer Tour consists of the alternative-rock gods, otherwise known as Fall Out Boy, the puff puff passing Wiz Khalifa, and Hoodie Allen. (Hoodie Allen is also performing at the UMass Spring Concert!) Quite the lineup, right? This tour is undoubtedly going to be a wild time with the performers being so different from one another, it will definitely draw a huge crowd. I’m a fan of all of the performers so to me this tour sounds like something only dreams are made of. What better way to get yourself into the summer lifestyle than to rock out with Fall Out Boy and ‘chill’ with Wiz Khalifa?

Which concert are you going to this summer, Collegiettes?
