Late Nights in the Library: Cute and Comfortable Outfits

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

Ladies, we all have those late nights in DuBois Library and the struggle to be comfy and cute while studying is real. Those good old Seven jeans are just too stiff to sit hours on end in, and that open back dress is too chilly for those air conditioned rooms. So, in order to beat the harsh library conditions and avoid the “Procrastination Station” we have pieced together a few outfits to keep you looking cute and comfy!

Leggings and an oversized sweatshirt almost always do the trick. Layering a cute sweatshirt over a tank-top is a simple way to stay cozy and cute while finishing up that English paper or math assignment. Who says you can only show school spirit at sports games? This outfit also gives you the perfect opportunity to show some Umass Minuteman pride. Break out the college apparel to show your school spirit!

With Fall right around the corner, it’s time to get cozy! Pair a casual denim button down with a circle scarf to glam up the look and keep warm. To add something extra to this look, add some gold or silver arm candy. A watch can glam up a look with the flick of a wrist! This look is classy while still being comfy and easy to study in.

Feeling a little preppy? Pair a quilted vest with a oversized button down. To simplify the look and add that extra level of comfort, add leggings and a pair of slippers or boat shoes. If you want to spice up the look even more, try a button down with stripes or patterns on it. We would recommend a vest in navy, black, or tan: these colors will go with everything and are completely fashion forward for Fall 2013!

Do you have a late night study date in the library? No worries, we’ve got you covered! With fall coming up, sweater dresses are making a come back. Nothing says warm and comfy like a sweater dress, boots, and a soft scarf. You don’t need to show a lot of skin to get the attention you want and this particular outfit keeps it simple yet trendy for your study date. Add tights and boots to add a more collegiette™ look to it.

Good luck with the studies, ladies!
