How to Lose Weight Fast Before Spring Break

Well it’s that time of year again. You booked your spring break trip months ago yet somehow you’re just realizing now that you’re about to be in a bikini with thousands of other college students and you panic. What to do? Gym four hours a day? With just over a week until break most of us girls are going crazy trying to lose a few pounds quick.

There are tons of crash diets and cleanses out there to try and even though we all know (or we should) that it isn’t a healthy way to lose weight, most of us are going to do it anyway. Here is the best, healthy way to lose weight fast just in time for break. Beyoncé used this cleanse for her role in Dream Girls. Beyoncé is the queen, so if it’s good for her it’s good for us right?

 The Master Cleanse:

The master cleanse is a ten day cleanse which allows you to only drink a special lemonade concoction and nothing else. You are only allowed minimal exercise and it is recommended to pair it with a laxative tea in the evenings and a quart of salt water in the mornings.

The recipe for the lemonade mix is as follows:

  • 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice. It is recommended to use fresh lemons, not juice.
  • 2 tablespoons of dark Grade B maple syrup. NOT PANCAKE SYRUP!
  • 1/10 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
  • Water. Mix all of the above ingredients in a ten ounce glass of water.
  • Drink as much as you want of this as possible, but at least 80 ounces a day.

It is allowed and encouraged to drink water throughout the cleanse, but remember NO other food or liquid. Beyonce lost TWENTY pounds in just ten days using this so enjoy! (Kinda.) If you plan on doing this cleanse I encourage you to do it right, having little snacks and cheating will get you zero results. Trust me, the stuff does not taste very good so if you’re not committed to do it, don’t waste your time. 

Lastly remember, the cleanse is only for 10 days – any longer will deplete muscle and damage your body. Also remember that you are beautiful just the way you are, and your weight will have no impact on that. But, if shaving an extra few is going to help YOU feel better as YOU, and helps you feel more confident on the beach, then have at it ladies!
