Get Ready for Kris Kringle With the HC Survival Kits

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

We all returned from Thanksgiving break a little more sluggish, a little bit thicker, and a lot less motivated to do our work. Luckily for us here at Her Campus UMass Amherst, we received our fall Survival Kit from Nationals to get us through finals and back home for the holidays.

All of the products are wonderful, and receive a strong recommendation for any interested readers! Here’s how they’ve helped me so far…

1. 7 Wonders Face Masks

  1. Caribbean Coconut Calming Mask — As someone who suffers from naturally pink skin, this did wonders to my face! I recommend it to anyone looking to relax irritated or dry skin; it’s also great for sensitive types.
  2. Amazonian Açaí Anti-Pollution Mask — Many of us suffer from extra acne around this time of year due to stress and poor dieting. As one of those suffering individuals, I can promise you that I saw improvements the next day with this mask!
  3. Kalahari Melon Moisturizing Mask — When I admit that I also have dry skin, you might be thinking, “What don’t you have?” (But I promise it’s not that bad!) This mask left my skin feeling supple and hydrated for days. It was probably my favorite of the three!

2. Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara & Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner

Being blonde, blue-eyed, and fair-skinned, I’m not used to using black eye products—I usually go for brown shades. I love this mascara, though! It made my lashes full and long, and even lasted through a trip to the Recreation Center. The eyeliner was also smooth and clean. It worked best for me on a night out, but it’s a good choice for anyone that prefers darker shades.

3. Rimmel Natural Waterproof Bronzing Powder

Again, my fair skin made me hesitant to try this product. I used it for another night out though, and some light strokes gave me a nice glow. I can imagine it will be perfect during the summer when I’m a few shades darker, and a great option for people who like to bronze it up.

4. Rimmel Provocalips Kiss Proof Lip Color (I tried Heart Breaker and I’ll Call You)

The two-step process took some time for a makeup novice like myself to get used to, but both colors ended up looking and feeling awesome. It didn’t leave rings on coffee cups or lose color when I used chapstick—not to mention I didn’t need to reapply for a full day! If you’re looking for a long-lasting lip color, Provocalips is for you.

5. Yogi Tea (I tried Green Tea Blueberry Slim Life and Sweet Tangerine Positive Energy)

This tea was delicious and made me feel health benefits almost immediately. Blueberry Slim Life is ideal for anyone looking to cleanse after all that holiday cookin’, and Positive Energy provides a nice boost without any crash (long conversations about politics over Christmas dinner with distant family members, anyone?). I’m usually highly sensitive to caffeine, but I didn’t feel any effects with this tea.

6. Pure Silk Raspberry Mist Shave Cream

I’ve actually had this product before, and it really does give you a close shave… And this is coming from someone who usually opts for conditioner rather than shaving cream!

All in all, Her Campus couldn’t have done better with these Survival Kits!
