Everything You Need to Know About Jennifer Aniston’s New Haircare Brand, LolaVie

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

Though most of the world knows Jennifer Aniston through her work on TV and film, behind the scenes she has also been a known advocate of clean and natural health and beauty as seen through her partnerships with various brands over the years such as Vital Proteins and Aveeno. After teasing an upcoming project for weeks, Jennifer Aniston announced on Instagram the release of her new haircare line, LolaVie. So what do you need to know? Let’s talk about it.

What’s in a name? While Lola is a longtime nickname of hers, Aniston explains that Lola is someone who owns who they are, believes in themself, and does things their own way; “They live the Lola life. LolaVie, Naturally You.” While Aniston does some modeling for LolaVie, she’s working overtime behind the scenes in product development, marketing, creative direction, formula-testing, and even some social media work for the brand. It’s clear she’s been extremely hands-on in the curation process and the message LolaVie stands for is very special to Aniston, as seen in her announcement post here.

With a mission to “help your hair feel healthy and look effortless,” LolaVie is a plant-based brand with products made using naturally derived ingredients while emphasizing that all of their products are vegan and cruelty-free. As someone who believes in the importance of clean beauty, Aniston has worked to combine the best of science and nature without sacrificing one for the other.

Their first product, the glossing detangler released on Sept. 18, promises to help detangle and enhance your hair with a vegan thermal shield while protecting against damage and clean knots. For $25 found here, the world is already awaiting future products after this first release.

Since their launch, LolaVie has stated they will be producing products one at a time to make sure their formulas are perfected and thought out before their release; prioritizing quality over quantity and working to be “effective, smart and unfussy – [solving] real problems without the fluff.”

As someone who has looked to Aniston as a hairstyle and beauty icon for years, I’d take any hair care advice to get my hair anywhere close to her iconic looks. So who’s in?
