It comes twice a year, and it’s equally as stressful both times. It’s class registration. It’s an event that bears a lot of similarity to “The Hunger Games,” except, you know, without the actual killing part. But the same feelings of desolation, despair and frustration are there – may the odds be ever in your favor, Collegiettes.

Though you may feel that Spire never makes the process easy…

You whisper to your laptop anyway…

Because after all, you’ve spent hours upon hours making sure your schedule for next semester is perfect. The time you spent on it is actually quite ridiculous, but no Friday classes next semester are worth it, right?

As the clock ticks down to your registration time, you take a deep breath…

And your friends wish you good luck.

The races are off! You move as quickly as you can to beat out everybody else trying to get in your classes.

But of course, there’s always one class that’s full – which means you can either be put on a waitlist, or rearrange your entire schedule. It makes you feel like this…

Noticing you screaming at your laptop, your friends are a bit concerned for your mental health. They wonder if there’s anything they can do for you to make this easier.

You’ll have to settle on the waitlist and pray someone drops the class – and that you make it in.

You start thinking of your new classes and all the people in them that you don’t know. It’s kind of messed up that your best friend wouldn’t take that history class with you, right?

But you shut your eyes and say a quick prayer to the college gods that you’ll find some new cuties worth crushing on in at least one of your classes.

But at least it’s over! Now’s the time to sit back, relax, and celebrate – until Fall 2014 registration.
