Chase Atlantic: A Band on the Rise

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

Are you looking for some new tunes or artists to broaden your music library? Well you’re in luck because there is an Australian alternative pop rock band that’s on the rise called Chase Atlantic. Learn about them below and be sure to add them to your Spotify playlist!

The band consists of two brothers, Clinton and Mitchel Cave, and Christian Anthony. How did they begin their journey to music? The Cave brothers began making YouTube music videos. After being in the top 10 on X-Factor in 2012, Mitchel and Christian decided to form the band. This band has a unique sound and style. They make songs with instrumental influences of early rock from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, as well as ones that draw listeners in with builds and climaxes. Not only that, but they write, produce, and perform all their own music. And they have Australian accents… What more could one want from a band?

The band already has a following of over 250,000 people worldwide and two EP’s, Dalliance and Nostalgia. They have 120,000 subscribers just on YouTube and recently released new singles, “It’s Lit” and “Obsessive” from their new EP, Paradise.

Chase Atlantic has toured all over the U.S. and also just began their Australian 2016 tour for Paradise.

U Mass Amherst

I'm now a senior at UMass Amherst & started Her Campus my freshman year. I had just transferred from Clemson University in South Carolina and it allowed me to find friends immediately. HC also helped open myself up to a passion of mine - journalism and writing. Additionally, Her Campus helped me meet people who inspired me to get more involved on campus - which is why I joined Greek life as well as got a job for student activities and involvement. As sappy as it is, HC has changed my college experience in so many ways. Besides HC, I am a double major in journalism and biology, and work as a tour guide and for Student Activities & Involvement. I am the VP of Alumnae Relations of Sigma Kappa Beta Eta, involvement in a number of other organizations, and I love mozzarella sticks and Nutella (but not together!)
