It is easy to find yourself scrolling through TikTok seeing girls that have the “ideal” body. It is also easy for you to be hard on yourself for not looking the same way. As social media continues to grow, girls’ attitudes toward their own bodies are becoming increasingly negative. In this article, I will showcase some body positive TikTok creators, and with just a little stalking of their pages, you can land a spot on the body positive side of TikTok.

Sienna Gomez

One of the most famous TikTokers that are body positive is Sienna Gomez (@siennamae). Sienna is about 16 years old and took off on TikTok over the summer. Sienna became famous with a video of her pulling her pants to her waist to show her belly and dancing like nobody’s watching. This video went viral because even though she may not have the “ideal” body she is proud of it. Most of her videos involve her dancing and embracing her belly. She makes videos of her eating for those who have eating disorders to eat with her and is known throughout TikTok as an inspiration to young girls.

Shane Whalley

A big inspiration to loving yourself is Shane Whalley (@shanewhalley). Shane has been on a weight loss journey for around a year. He had struggled with eating disorders in the past and is working on recovery each day. In all of his videos, you are able to watch as he grows to love himself. As you scroll through his TikTok, you can see how happy and proud he is of himself. His page is very inspirational and only positive vibes.

Remi Bader

Another body positive creator is Remi Bader (@remibader). She is a plus-size model that provides realistic hauls of clothing brands. In these hauls, she talks about both the positives and negatives of the clothing. She focuses on letting the viewer realize that all stores’ sizing is different and that it’s okay if something doesn’t fit you the way you want it to. One of her most famous trends is when she buys an outfit online and poses exactly like the model. This shows you that every body is different and how it fits on the model does not mean that’s how it should fit on you. Remi teaches her followers that it’s okay if something looks different to you than it does on someone else; everyone’s body is different and that’s okay.

Lizzo

Lizzo (@lizzo) is a super famous singer and if you don’t know who she is you must live under a rock. Lizzo is also well-known for talking about loving her body. In her TikToks, she shows off her love for her body by dancing and singing. One of her most recent videos shows two pictures of herself in a year’s difference and discusses the progress she has made over the year. However, in both photos, she discusses how happy she is. She explains in her videos that happiness is the most important thing, it doesn’t matter what you look like or what size jeans you are, if you are happy that’s all you need

Ultimately, the goal of all these creators is to demonstrate that nobody’s perfect and every body is different, so it’s important to be confident in yourself because in the end all you have is you. Your body does so much for you and you only get one…so why waste time hating it when the world is full of adventures.
