8 Products I Would Repurchase If I Lost All My Makeup

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

Recently, I’ve been seeing a lot of TikToks full of influencers talking about makeup products that they would immediately re-buy if they suddenly lost all of their makeup. This led me to wonder, “What would I repurchase if I lost all my makeup?” Although I am not a makeup guru, here are the eight products I would urgently repurchase if I lost my entire makeup bag:

E.l.f. “power grip primer”

I never really was a primer girl until I tried this. This product is so incredibly sticky that it helps your makeup stay on your face all day (even through sweaty nights out), and it works! This product is also allegedly a dupe for Milk Makeup’s Hydro Grip Primer. Coming in at $10, this product is worth all the hype.

Maybelline “sky-high mascara”

I am a huge mascara fan, and this drugstore mascara is at the top of my list. It does exactly what it says it will: it makes my eyelashes look incredibly long! I’ve never experienced the amount of compliments on my eyelashes that I get when I wear this mascara. It never gets super clumpy, which makes it super easy to layer. It also stays on all day, even throughout a workout!

Rare beauty “soft pinch liquid blush” – shade “hope”

I am a massive fan of this product and will continue buying new shades! My all-time favorite is the shade, “Hope.” This shade is extremely flattering on me, a pale girlie, and gives me the perfect natural blush. One drop goes a loooong way, but I can easily blend it out with a brush for the perfect look.

Makeup revolution “eye bright concealer” – shade “deep caramel”

I saw someone on TikTok use this concealer in the shade “Deep Caramel” as a contour, so I tried it and loved it! I have zero experience with contouring, but this product makes it super easy for me to learn. I usually just put a couple of dots on my cheekbones, forehead, and nose and then blend them with a brush or sometimes a beauty sponge.

Rare Beauty “positive light silky touch highlighter” – shade “enlighten”

Another Rare Beauty favorite. This highlighter is ah-maze-ing! It doesn’t go on like any other highlighter I have tried before and doesn’t leave chunky glitter on my face, which usually happens to me. It looks like a liquid highlighter and gives the perfect glow to the skin. The shade “Enlighten” is a beautiful crystal-y white that is stunning. Whenever I wear this, I constantly get compliments, and people ask what I’m wearing!

E.l.f. “halo glow liquid filter”

Another E.L.F. product I adore is the “Halo Glow Liquid Filter.” I use this as a foundation for a super natural, glowy base for my makeup. You can also use it as a primer and layer a higher coverage foundation over top! It blends so seamlessly, and it has become a must-grab in my makeup bag. It is also a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury “Hollywood Flawless Filter,” which I also have, but I find myself reaching for the E.L.F. “Halo Glow” instead.

NYX “Fat oil lip drip” – shade “supermodel”

In the current lip oil craze, I find myself suffering through sticky oils that get everything gets stuck in. This NYX lip oil is stunning but does not feel sticky. This shade is a super pretty sparkly pink that looks really natural while also elevating any look. It’s the perfect staple to keep in your pocket during a night out.

Summer Fridays “Lip Butter Balm” – transparent “vanilla”

I am a massive fan of a good lip balm, and this product has taken the cake. Everything about this butter balm is fantastic. It smells incredible, nourishes my lips all day, and looks so pretty! I have it in two shades: “vanilla” (which is transparent) and “cherry” (a sheer bright red), but “vanilla” is my preferred shade. You can layer the “vanilla” shade over a lipliner for a more dramatic look, or just wear it as is for the perfect clear gloss!

Hopefully, these product recommendations inspire you to try new makeup, or if you just miraculously lost all of your makeup, they will give you an idea of where to start. These products are essential in my makeup routine, and I highly recommend trying them!
