Summer is right around the corner, and the drives with the windows all the way down are approaching. The trees in Amherst are almost fully bloomed, and shorts and tank tops are finally making an appearance. Am I the only one who has been waiting forever for this? Summer is a loved season and here are six songs that will accompany the most amazing summer.

You may recognize it’s murph from his hit song “Food for the Soul”, which blew up over TikTok recently. Luckily for you, he has come out with another new hit, which ranks very close to “Food for the Soul.” This song gives house and EDM vibes that you can never go wrong with! If you are looking to get into more EDM, I definitely recommend listening to it’s murph’s songs.

I hate to add another song that has been blown up on TikTok, but this article would not be complete without this song. This is the IT girl song of the summer and my go-to workout song. I view it as the new hot girl summer by Megan Thee Stallion. This duo is absolutely amazing and a must for busting it out with your girls.

I discovered this song while on the way to the beach, and it has now remained my go-to song summer after summer. I am obsessed with Tame Impala and his music. This remix is everything and more and has such a vibe— definitely a perfect chill song to blast on the way to the beach.

I absolutely belt this song out with my friends every year during summer. Something about it makes me want to stand up and scream the lyrics. This song is perfect for dance parties and get’s me so hyped for summer every time.

Again, I just do not think this list would be complete without Morgan Wallen or some type of country. I am not a huge country fan, but I think we can all agree his music is a perfect vibe for summer. Something about listening to Morgan Wallen in the summer just hit’s different. His new album is amazing, and this song especially makes me want to bust out my cowboy boots and country accent.
- “adventure of a lifetime” by Coldplay

Coldplay, in my opinion, is the ultimate summer artist. The build-up to this song is so beautiful, especially with the electric guitar. This is one of my dad’s favorite songs, and we love to listen to it while on the beach or barbequing together. You can never go wrong with Coldplay.
With the semester coming to a close, I am going to miss UMass a ton, but I also could not be more excited for summer. Listening to music in summer is always a blast; I will be listening to these songs that always compliment and enhance my summer.
