Are you a college student who wants to snack and enjoy pumpkin-flavored everything for as long as you can get away with it this season? Don’t let living in a stuffy dorm stop you from enjoying all the delicious treats associated with the fall season. Use your microwave for more than Ramen, Easy Mac and last night’s left over munchies and try out these adorably seasonal treats that are sure to satisfy your hunger:

1. Apple Nachos

Swap out the cheesy nachos for something a bit more seasonal and healthy with these easy Apple Nachos.

Ingredients:

  • Apples
  • Caramel or caramel sauce
  • Toppings (chocolate, nuts, coconut, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Microwave caramel until it becomes hot liquid
  2. Drizzle caramel over apple slices
  3. Add your delicious toppings

2. Tootsie Acorns

If you have a bit more time on your hands and want to make a treat that will look adorably festive on your nightstand, this is the snack for you. 

Ingredients:

  • Tootsie rolls
  • Nilla wafers
  • Butterscotch chips
  • Chocolate chips 

Instructions:

  1. Microwave tootsie rolls for 5 seconds
  2. Form tootsie into ball
  3. Make one side of the tootsie roll flat and the other side pointed
  4. Place chocolate chip on flat side of Nilla wafer and microwave until melted
  5. Dip flat side of butterscotch chip in chocolate and stick the tootsie to the Nilla wafer and the chip to the other side of Nilla wafer
  6. Place finished acorns in refrigerator to harden the chocolate

3. Pumpkin Mug Cake

What could be better than cake in a mug? Not much.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of cake mix
  • 1 tablespoon of pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • ½ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice

Instructions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a mug
  2. Microwave for 1 minute

4. Warm Cinnamon Apples

Warm Cinnamon Apples are classic, easy comfort food that you really can’t mess up. 

Ingredients:

  • 4 Apples
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter
  2. Mix all the ingredients together
  3. Pop in the microwave 

5. Caramel popcorn

Whether you’re laying down to watch a movie or just need a snack while studying, this extremely easy caramel corn will be sure to hit the spot.

Ingredients:

  • Unbuttered popcorn
  • Caramel candies or caramel sauce

Instructions:

  1. Microwave caramel until it turns to a smooth, hot liquid
  2. Drizzle your caramel over popped popcorn
  3. Mix the caramel popcorn so the that the caramel is evenly distributed
  4. Add a bit of salt
