Okay, so you’ve been wanting to watch a new TV show, but you also don’t feel like dedicating lots of time to starting something new. Well, you’ve come to the right place. During quarantine, I found lots of short TV series that I didn’t even know existed, so here are some to get you started… and you can watch them all on Hulu or Netflix BTW!

“Girlboss”

This short series can be found on Netflix, and it aired back in 2017. It’s only 13 episodes long and features the actress, Britt Robertson. It follows the beginning of the clothing brand Nasty Gal. Robertson’s character, Sophia, is rebellious and broke (very relatable as a college student). She soon becomes a businesswoman and becomes the girl “boss” of her own life. She lowkey lives out my fashion dreams, so I definitely recommend watching it.

“Dollface”

This one-season show with 10 episodes aired in 2019 and can be found on Hulu. It features huge stars like “Pretty Little Liars” star Shay Mitchell, but also Brenda Song and Kat Dennings (as the main character, Jules). After being dumped by her long-term BF, Jules tries to reconnect with her friends on a little adventure. It’s quirky, fun to watch, and light-hearted. It will have you texting your friends to take a road trip in no time.

“High Fidelity”

Sadly, this show is *not* being renewed for a second season. But it aired on Hulu earlier this year, featuring Zoë Cravitz as the main character, Rob. Her character owns a record store in Brooklyn and follows her story as she rekindles old and new romances. It’s a bit nostalgic and a little feel-good. She also just has a great taste in music, so that’s an added bonus too.

“I Am Not Okay With This”

If you’re more into Sci-Fi TV shows, this is the right fit for you. There’s only one season on Netflix and TBH it reminds me a lot of “Stranger Things” too. It follows a teenager as she navigates high school and the death of her father. She also learns about her ability to destroy things just by looking at them which is super cool to watch.

These are just a few TV recommendations, but they’ll get you started for a short binge-watch. Bring out the popcorn!
