Happy new week all you little Gossip Girlers, this is HerCampus’s Gossip Guy with this weeks round up from our favorite show. Hope your fall break was relaxing, because this week’s episode was anything but.
This week’s episode began with a stubborn Waldorf refusing to confront the results of her paternity test. Enough with the pregnancy charades B, your baby daddy has got the right to know. Dorota turns to an unexpected person in enlisting help for Blair, Dan Humphrey. Maybe his smooth talking ways can convince the future Princess out of bed and into the right state of mind.
Serena van der Woodsen is back in the Upper East Side. And look whom she’s brought along, cousin Charlie. Blair begrudgingly accepts S’s blood back in Manhattan, but how will everyone else react? And how long can Ivy hide under the Charlie façade? My guess, not long enough. Despite Dan’s tries, Gossip Girl has the inside scoop on the newest novel to hit the shelves – all of it true.
Blair puts off Dan’s request to open the paternity results right away, rushing off to an interview with OK magazine, where she finds out the hard way about her Prince’s fatherly aspirations. He doesn’t see himself ready to be a father anytime soon. Well, he will be very surprised at one little bundle of joy. Poor Lonely Boy, always getting the short end of the stick. This time it’s by Noah, a famous author who after learning the truth about Dan’s novel, pens his own name on the authors line. Wouldn’t it just be easier to admit you wrote it? By the sounds of things, this could be the next New York Times bestseller.
After overhearing Lily and Serena discussing how Charlie’s mother had a right to know she was on the East Coast, a panicked Ivy gets ready to head back west, only to be duped by Serena into walking in a fashion show on her behalf. Give it a go Ivy and enjoy your precious last moments as Charlie. How swooned Nate is by his newest employer, Miss Diana Payne. But he quickly realizes that she may just be keeping him around as her little toy. If you want to prove yourself outside the Archibald name Nate, you better start putting some real work in.
Oh Rufus, you really are the best husband. Our favorite Upper East Side househusband was able to get Lily off her house arrest earlier than she expected, freeing her from the pains of online shopping. It seems like a fashion show is on her first nights agenda, with a certain Rhodes sister in tow. I certainly hope you can run in heels Ivy, because you may need to make a quick exit after your fashion show debut.
Drama ensues at the fashion show. Turns out that Diana isn’t interested in writing reputable reviews about the elite of NewYork, she’s only concerned about the juicy details that lurk in their private lives. And as it turns out, Nate is makes quite the spy. Can you really succeed in spying on your own kind Nate? Only time will time.
Carol confronts Ivy and tells her it all needs to end. The scam has been run and it’s time for both of them to move on. But instead of listening to her “mother,” she decides to give it right back to her, telling her she’ll expose the truth if she isn’t allowed to stay in New York. There’s just one question on my mind, what if the real Charlie comes looking for Serena? Then what ladies?
It turns out that Dan was the one being fooled all along. He rushes into Noah’s dinner party to take credit for the book he wrote and walked right into admitting it as everyone had hoped. Your dreams are coming true Dan, let’s just hope everything stays on the positive side.
And the father is.. – Prince Louie! After all of Dan’s protests, Blair finally opens the envelope and finds that her Prince and baby daddy are one in the same. The first person she takes the news to? Chuck Bass. In a rare moment of civility, she wants him to be the first to know, even though she says part of her was hoping that this could be his child. Her Prince is excited to be starting a family with her, much to Blair’s pleasure. One small thing, our future Princess puts the re-taped version of the letter back into her desk. Something tells me that the copy she opened my have been a well-edited version. Oh Blair, you and your secrets.
A heartbroken Chuck absolutely melts my heart. Luckily, he has his newest friend, a furry canine named Monkey to keep him company as he lays weeping. Who knew what Chuck Bass had emotions? Not I. Nate and Diana are busy searching through phones and collecting gossip as they go. Just be careful you two, you never know what sort of information you may dig up.
Until next time, you know you love.
XOXO,
Jossip Gurl
P.S. Next Week – Dan’s book finally has an author and everyone is up in arms about what they’re reading about themselves.
