STUMBLE-ing UPON Life

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Maine chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.

I write this article with the preconceived notion that most of you have heard of, or are currently addicted to, StumbleUpon. However, im writing it anyway as a way to further convince you all why there is so much more to StumbleUpon than what meets the eye. I mean come on, it’s the easiest way to entertain yourself and procrastinate all at the same time. My roommates introduced me to this website last year and in the past few months I have become utterly obsessed. Is stumbling the new facebooking? I think it might just be.  Its like your own personalized Google search with a hint of flare and a whole lot of flash. I can travel around the world through photos, learn the latest trends in make-up, nails and hair and be inspired by quotes I have never heard of before.

It’s easy to be obsessed with a blog where the author writes about things that you are interested in. The hard part isn’t loving a blog, it is finding it- StumbleUpon does that for you! I signed up and clicked on my millions of interests such as photography, beauty and cooking and BAM there I was ‘stumbling’ and ‘liking’ everything that came up.

If you’re not convinced yet, check out the 5 best things StumbleUpon has ever shown me (at least for now)- and then go see just what it can find for you.

1. How Sweet It Is – a cooking blog

2. Not Quite Susie– a beautiful quote on an even prettier picture

 3. Closet Cooking– a cooking guide for a cook in a small kitchen- perfect for Collegiettes with gourmet taste!

4. Deal News– the latest deals and steals from all across the Internet! Budgeting has never been so easy.

 5. Xsparkage– A beauty blog with how-to’s and real-life tips that can make any girl (or boy) a make-up artist!

So there it is. Those links are just 5 of the many reasons why stumbling through life is the only way to make it through life. So stumble away UMaine Collegiettes and then send me YOUR favorite finds to be featured in a follow up article!
