It’s been a little while since Super Bowl LII and for many, emotions are still raw to say the least… Eagles fans are still celebrating and, if you’re a Patriots fan like me, you’re busy avoiding ESPN and Sportscenter at all costs to avoid the onslaught of programs like “What Went Wrong” and “Is This the End of Tom Brady?”.  But, sometimes it’s nice to look back and remember the highs, and lows, of Super Bowl LII as a Patriots fan.

Waking up and realizing it’s Super Bowl Sunday

Trying to figure out if 10am is too early to start drinking

Seeing your first Eagles jersey

Replaying highlights from last years Super Bowl and realizing it still gets you emotional

When someone at the party says, “But what if they lose?”

When it’s finally game time

When the Patriots score their first touchdown

When the Eagles pull away with 2:21 left in the fourth

When you watch Brady throw the Hail Mary…and it doesn’t connect

So you start to drink your pain away

But then you realize you already have 5 rings and you’ll be back for the 6th next year
