The Beta Theta Pi brothers for 20 years now have put on an annual sleepout, in which they lock themselves out of their fraternity house for 12 hours. The event is put on to raise money for rape response in the Bangor, Maine area.
This year’s event was held February 15 with hopes of raising more that last year’s impressing $7,000. After the event, more the $8,000 was raised, with more donations coming in the upcoming weeks.
The event, which took place in the yard of the Beta house, featured the Renaissance Singers, Bananas the Black Bear, a huge bonfire, raffles, food from OHOP and Moe’s Original Barbeque, hotdogs, popcorn and coffee courtesy of Verve.
A tremendous success, the event was fun and raised money for a great cause. Check out some of the action here.
