Best UMaine Memory: It’s a toss up between Day Glow and Curva
Favorite spot on campus:Â Rec Center- you will never find another gym like it!
Something you didn’t expect to miss when you graduated: The daily routine of going to class
Best advice for current Black Bears: SOAK IT UP. Your life will never be as good (and easy) as it is right now.
What kind of internships did you have as an undergraduate?
I had three! All in Public Relations.
What is your best advice for job-seeking seniors?
Start now and get your name out there. Do one thing that will set you apart from everyone else whether it is an internship or volunteering in your field. Don’t be afraid to go outside of your comfort zone, now is the time to relocate- put yourself first.
What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned post-grad?
Never settle until you’re completely happy.
What inspired you to start a blog?
I’ve always loved writing and really wanted an outlet to talk about what I love: style and travel. AND It’s another way to let companies know what I am all about.
What’s your favorite part about blogging?
The community! You don’t expect the warm welcome you receive when you put yourself out there, whether it’s from your friends or other bloggers.
What’s the most difficult part?
Growing your following and readership. It is a full-time job!
What are your plans for your blog?
Eventually I want to partner with brands in the fashion and travel industry and share my experiences and inspire others.
What’s your dream job/biggest career aspiration?
What isn’t my dream job? I am still getting to know myself in this crazy post-grad whirlwind! But right now my ultimate dream job is to work for a luxury brand in travel, hospitality or fashion.
