12 Signs You’re Ready for Spring Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Maine chapter.

Are you struggling to keep your eyes open during your 10 a.m.? Do your daydreams consist of you lounging on the beach with a fruity drink in your hand? Are you sick of hearing the weathermen predict snowfall or even a potential snow storm? If you answered yes to any of these questions, it sounds like you’re ready for spring break. College can be exhausting, so everyone looks forward to getting some time off to wind down for a week or two. Some people spend this time partying in Cancun, while others use this time to work or spend time with family. However you spend it, we hope you enjoy it! If any of these signs look familiar to you, then you know you’re ready for this time of the year.

1.   It’s impossible for you to get any schoolwork done and pay attention in class

2.   You’ve already planned what you’re going to wear for your spring break trip (and maybe you even started packing!)

3.   You’re constantly dreaming about warmer weather (anything over 40 degrees please!!!)

4.   Rolling out of the bed in the morning for class seems harder than usual

5.   You’re trying to save up as much money as you can so you’re not scrambling for money during break

6.   You’ve caught yourself trying to break out your spring clothes

7.   Your online shopping cart is filled with cute swimsuits

8.   You’re starting to reallllly miss your family at home

9.   Scraping the ice and snow off your car is starting to get very old

10.  You’ve started posting throwback Instagrams with captions like: “Wishing I was back on the beach in ____ instead of drowning in homework at the library”

11.  You’ve started shopping for warm weather clothes instead of sweaters and leggings

12.  If you’re not going anywhere warm for spring break, you’re just counting down the days until you can be class free for a week or two

Keep trucking, collegiates! Less than two weeks left to go!
