This is Shelter House, Iowa City’s own homeless shelter. As you think about packing up for break and perhaps graduation think of Shelter House. Any toiltries that you don’t want to lug home or furniture that you no longer need can be donated to Shelter House. Along with this if you have used clothing you can bring it to Stuff Etc. in Coralville or Iowa City and donate it to the Shelter House account. Along with providing homeless men and woman with a place to live they have a culinary program for people wanting a new job oppurtunity this utimately has a goal of improving income to help people step out of homelessness. Along with providing a place to live they provide services such as laundry, shower, and telephone services, for other low income families that can’t afford it.
