Pop Culture Podcasts To Listen To Right Now

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Iowa chapter.

If you’re like me and are shamefully obsessed with pop culture, you’ll be equally obsessed with these podcasts. Whether you listen to them on your daily commute to class or while working up a sweat the treadmill, they’ll be sure to feed your addiction and give you your pop culture fix! Check out and listen to these pop culture podcasts now:

The Morning Breath

Claudia Oshry, aka @girlwithnojob, and her sister, Jackie Oshry, present to listeners the “fast five” pop culture stories of the day and often feature special guests from the entertainment industry. For instance, Jwoww from Jersey Shore and Spencer Pratt from The Hills were on recently. The duo’s sassy NYC attitude mixed with comedic banter, along with their commentary on the stories, will leave you both laughing and informed.

Anna Faris is Unqualified

No need for an introduction for the lovely and super talented Anna Faris! She hosts her own podcast, with her executive producer, Sim Sarna. Faris, with her witty and energetic personality, is totally qualified to interview the top notch guests she secures each week. From the likes of Emma Roberts to Seth Rogan and everyone in between, chances are your favorite celeb will make an appearance.

Mouthing Off with Olivia Caridi

Olivia Caridi, better known as “the girl with the big mouth” on Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor, puts her “big mouth” to use by flawlessly interviewing people from the world of entertainment. She features a wide variety of guests each week that have been anywhere from former Playboy bunny Kendra Wilkinson to the legend behind one of the most viral meme accounts to date, The Fat Jew. Caridi’s interview style is conversational, which raises the level of realness and spontaneity in her interviews, having you beg for more when they’re over.

Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald

You might remember her for her time on Chelsea Lately, but famous comedian Heather McDonald has her own show now… and it’s juicy! McDonald has a diverse range of guests each week and gets the full scoop. Comedians are known to “cross the line,” and McDonald certainly does so by asking the uncomfortable questions that everyone is dying to know about. She’s had Katie Holmes spill on Scientology and Lamar Odom discuss his public hospitalization, so nothing is off the table.

By listening to these podcasts, you’ll be pop cultured! Enjoy, collegiettes!
