If you are looking for a place that serves a great selection of beer and provides an array of music look no further than the downtown establishment the Blue Moose Tap House.

The Blue Moose, located on 211 Iowa Ave, is a unique place because not only are they a downtown bar, but also a well-known concert venue. They attract bands and DJs around the nation including New Found Glory, The Plain White T’s, and Sam Adams. The concert venue is small, but the atmosphere is truly something that one wouldn’t want to miss.

When there isn’t a concert the crowd at the popular bar is mixed and unique. One can see the local hipsters or the older crowd on a typical weekend night. The establishment has a variety of beer selections from domestics to locally brewed works. One of the perks of the bar is that they offer “das boot” where you can choose from the multitudes of beer on tap and drink German style.

The bar itself is unique from the dark hard wood floors to the bar stools made from old kegs. The biggest highlight of the bar: the jukebox. The ability for the crowd to choose the songs that are being played in the bar can bring a diversity of music and the bar has even given me new songs to put on my iPod from time to time.
