What is #MeetOurMembersMonday?
Happy #meetourmembersmonday! Her Campus U Iowa started this hashtag to feature our amazing team members who work hard to make this organization what it is. But more importantly it is a way for our viewers to get to know the people behind the content they are making.
This Week’s Feature
Our member this week that we want to highlight is Claire Brixie! Claire is HC Iowa’s Co-Social Media Director and is one of the amazing people behind our various social media accounts. Claire is a senior at the University of Iowa, majoring in Communication Studies with a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. She is originally from Clarendon Hills, IL, but is living in Iowa City for the semester.
“I joined HC to gain professional experience and to be surrounded and empowered by other women with similar passions.”
As a member, Claire has been contributing to our social team by creating posts and stories that have been featured on our Instagram @hercampusiowa. Her eye for design and marketing has made her an incredible member of our team, that continues to improve HC Iowa’s pages. Not only has she used her marketing skills for creating content for us, but she wants to use them after graduation as well.
“My dream job would have to be doing something high up in the Marketing field either for a nonprofit or for a big company in Chicago or Boston!”
Claire’s love for helping others and volunteering are aspects that she would like to incorporate into a career. One goal that she has is to create things on social media that will hopefully have a positive impact on people’s lives. Her selfless and caring nature also makes her a strong mentor for our social team here at HC Iowa. Outside of school and work, Claire has other interests as well. One thing she really enjoys is grabbing coffee from Starbucks and working on her next projects.
