Make your way 25 minutes from Iowa City, and you’ll find one of Iowa’s hidden gems. Coralville Lake (Lake MacBride) is a man-made lake that was formed in 1949. The lake is located in the city of Solon. Not only is Solon the home of the Coralville Lake, but you may find that small town charm you’ve been looking for; from cute restaurants, ice cream shops and, of course, the lake. Take a study break and rent a boat or even go on the many trails that the lake has to offer. Or take a bunch of candid pre-fall pics like we did!
