On August 30th, 2014 the University of Iowa kicked off their Hawkeye football season playing the University of Northern Iowa Panthers. The Hawkeyes defeated the Panthers with a score of 23 to 31. Fellow Hawkeye students portrayed their school spirit sporting all different sorts of Hawkeye apparel and showing everyone that Iowa has the best and loudest student section in the Big 10 Conference.
