This week’s Campus Cutie is the outstanding Alexia Meeks! She is a fun and creative sophomore at the University of Iowa studying Graphic Design. She has always been a Hawkeye fan and works as a student assistant in the football office. You can also find her jamming to cool music as a part of SCOPE and spending time with her sorority sisters in ADPi.
What class are you most look forward to next semester?
The class I’m most looking forward to next semester is The Art and Politics of Rap Music. It’s an African American studies class.
Who is your idol?
Aaliyah because she was a boss who had a huge impact on the music industry.If you could have one super power what would it be?
If I could have one super power it would be the power of flight.
What’s your favorite show?
My favorite show right now is a toss up between “Scream Queens” and “Blackish.”
What Thanksgiving food are you most excited about?
Mashed potatoes
Are you making anything for Thanksgiving?
I’m not really a cook. I don’t really have the patience for it;
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I see myself in grad school, maybe even law school. Who knows?
Favorite coffee shop and why?
My favorite coffee shop is High Ground because it’s sort of off the beaten path, and they have really good cinnamon rolls.
What do you want most for Christmas?
I would love a new lease for my camera.
