6. “The One with the Football” – s.3 e.9
Come on, who doesn’t love a good ol’ Ross and Monica sibling rivalry? This episode is centered around the Gellar Cup, which Monica and Ross fought for every Thanksgiving through football. The gang decides to play some football, but Joey and Chandler get distracted by a girl. Neither team wins, which makes Monica and Ross hold on to the Gellar Cup all night hoping to take it home to say they won. Basically, the game is a mess, but nothing gets you in the fall spirit like football!
5. “The One with the Halloween Party”—s. 8 e. 6
Chandler in a bunny suit, Ross attempting Sputnik and Monica as Cat Woman. Could this episode be any better? Unfortunately, the episode is focused around Phoebe trying to steal her sister’s man. Let’s face it, no one likes Ursula. Regardless of all that, this Halloween episode is one of the only episodes featuring the main characters in costume. Although this isn’t one of the Thanksgiving episodes, Halloween is a major part of fall, and who knows, it could give you a few costume ideas. I personally suggest what Ross chose!
4. “The One with All the Thanksgivings” – s. 5 e.8
Joey and Monica put a turkey on their head, which can arguably be said as one of the most memorable scenes of Friends. Chandler tells Monica he loves her while she has the Turkey on her head. Perfect combination of sweet and funny! Although this is a flashback type of episode, it’s a classic Thanksgiving episode!
3. “The One Where Ross Got High” – s. 6 e. 9
Monica and Ross’s parents come to Thanksgiving. Hoping that her parents like Chandler, Monica finds out that they don’t like him because they thought he smoked weed. However, the secret comes out that it was really Ross. This episode doesn’t include one, but TWO Thanksgivings in one! The flashback to when Ross smoked weed is also during a Thanksgiving. Nothing gets ya in the fall spirit like some family secrets revealed.
2. “The One with the Late Thanksgiving” – s.10 e.8
Joey and Ross go to a game, and Rachel and Phoebe enter Emma in a baby beauty pageant, which results in both pairs being late to Monica and Chandler’s Thanksgiving. The two of them decided they weren’t going to have Thanksgiving this year, but the gang convinces them to make a dinner for everyone. This, of course, upsets Monica, and she chooses to lock them out of the apartment! Joey sticks his head into the door frame but gets stuck in the doorway. This episode is one of the funniest and silliest episodes out of all the Thanksgiving themed ones! It’s a MUST see the week of Thanksgiving!
1. “The One with the Rumor” – s. 8 e. 9
Brad Pitt guest stars in this episode as Will, an old friend of Ross and Monica’s. Will, who used to be fat, hates Rachel since she thought she was better than everyone in high school and bullied him. After years of dating Ross and even becoming pregnant withhis child, the secret of who started the “I Hate Rachel Green Club” came out. Ross and Will started the club in high school and spread the rumor that Rachel had “both parts.” YIKES. Of course we love Jennifer Aniston but the episode not only is filled with Thanksgiving food, but Brad Pitt, too!
