Can’t wait for 12 days of Christmas? Well here are 12 reasons to stop into Revival, a true Midwestern staple located in Iowa City, IA. The local boutique brings together a vast yet curated collection of women’s new, used and vintage clothing and accessories, as well as a variety of boutique apothecary and lingerie lines. Revival is a place where a small group of badass ladies can help you hone your own personal expression, no matter the budget.

Not located in Iowa City? Visit their website to shop the cutest clothes and accessories at the best prices!

1. Their prints are a necessity

Revival has partnered with local Iowa City artist Katie Vernon to create a beautiful Iowa City map. You can buy it as a greeting card set, full sized print or even a reusable shopping tote! Shop the full sized print here

2. Minimalist necklaces are the perfect gift for yourself

Take Iowa with you wherever home is for the holidays with these simple, elegant necklaces. You’ll be shopping for everyone in your life these next few weeks but don’t forget to reward yourself for the stellar GPA and surviving finals. And they’re only $28!

3. Cozy hats are practical AND posh

Revival has a hat for everyone. Whether you’re rocking one on a bad hair day (me, always), or you are ice skating in the evening and need to stay warm (and Insta ready), there’s a hat for you. They’re affordable, adorable and also make the best Secret Santa gifts! Shop our favorite hats here.

4. Bath bombs really are the bomb

De-stress and unwind with these bright bath bombs! The best part? They’re $4 each! Buy one for everyone in your life and grab a few for yourself. Everyone needs a Netflix and bath bomb night, in our opinion.

5. Dusty pinks + denim = all we’re wearing this year

This pink color is becoming a neutral in our wardrobes because it really goes with anything! Pair this cute color with jeans or dress it up with leather leggings this winter.

6. Hats and booties are simple stylish accessories

Floppy hats scream sophistication. It’s just a fact. Booties dress up any outfit and are perfect for fancier winter occasions (mostly because you can totally sneak wearing a pair of fuzzy socks with a dress and tights if you’re in booties!).

7. Chunky scarves make the best blankets

Sure, they’re great for staying warm in the cold winter months. But chunky scarves really do make the best blankets for long nights spent in the library studying.

8. The Frasier fir candle

You need this candle. This relaxing Christmas candle is the best gift for anyone on your list. If you weren’t able to buy a real Christmas tree this year, this is the next best thing. The smell of Siberian Fir Needles, Heartening Cedarwood and Relaxing Sandalwood will warm your apartment right up! Shop it here

9. Buy for the boy in your life, too

Revival is a one stop shop for your holiday needs. Their guy items are the perfect buys for the boy in your life (we’re talking brothers, fathers and friends, too!). From the apparel to the stylish socks, they’ve got it all!

10. Winter blouses are a staple

Sometimes, especially in the Midwest where the weather is as unpredictable as our GPAs, a sweater is too warm or too chunky to fit under that leather jacket. Bold blouses in fall and winter colors are perfect alternatives. Revival has an extensive variety of tops in the best colors (like this golden yellow).

11. The apothecary line is a must smell

Beyond simply the candles, Revival has a collection of incense sticks and burners, diffusers, oils, face masks, body scrubs and fragrances. The best part, you can shop a ton of it online, too!

12. Shop local, shop vintage

Shopping local is Her Campus Iowa’s favorite thing to do. We love walking through downtown Iowa City after class and stopping into our favorite stores on the way home. While a lot of the items in Revival are new, there are also racks of vintage finds that your wardrobe needs. Sort through sweaters, dresses,  jackets and more that are longing for a new home! Check out some of our favorite vintage items here.
