Why It’s Never Too Early to Start Listening to Christmas Music

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Conn chapter.

Yes, I know there’s still several weeks until Christmas. And yes, you probably haven’t even gotten around to picking up your discarded Halloween costume off the floor where you left it. Does it really matter that the Thanksgiving stuff isn’t out in stores yet? It is literally never too early in the year to start getting excited for Christmas and here’s why:

Because nothing will every be as timeless and as festive as Mariah’s All I Want For Christmas Is You.

Because the same Christmas song can be covered by any artist in any genre of music and still be amazing.

From Colbie Caillat to Jason Mraz, from Blake Shelton to Pentatonix.

Because there is no better music to lift your mood.

Because Christmas music is a surefire way to get you through midterms sane and in one piece.

(Kind of…)

Because it makes the colder weather tolerable.

Because it marks the start of the greatest time of year.

Because waiting for the date to be “socially acceptable” is physically painful.

Because Michael Bublé. Period.
