It’s officially December…which means Spotify came out with their Spotify Wrapped feature, a popular year in review of every individual listener’s top songs, artists, podcasts, and much more. It has become a trend to share your Spotify Wrapped results on social media. While many people find the overflow of these posts annoying, some of us love seeing what our friends listen to and discovering new artists and songs. Personally, I believe that the music somebody listens to says a lot about them. What does your Spotify Wrapped say about you? Let’s find out…

If you listened to less than 30,000 minutes of music this year…

You enjoy listening to music but it’s definitely not something you do a lot. Maybe you just put it on while you’re driving or in the shower, but you aren’t an avid music listener.

If you listened to 30,000-60,000 minutes of music this year…

You’re a music person. You fall into the average amount that people listen to and your favorite artists are probably popular ones. Nothing wrong with that, you just love the classics and today’s top hits.

If you listened to more than 60,000 minutes of music this year…

You are part of the elite. You listen to more music than most and you’re proud of it. No sound in the background? You put music on. All the time. And your Spotify Wrapped shows it. Music was also definitely your coping mechanism for all of the craziness that 2020 brought.

If your top artist was Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, or Selena Gomez…

You have to admit your taste is common, but unmatched. This power trio made it into countless top artists lists… and they deserved it. Each of them came out with an album this year, so many of us played their songs on repeat. If your top artist is one of these three, you respect some serious vocal talent and you definitely belt their lyrics while driving around with your best friends because… who doesn’t?

If your top artist was Justin Bieber or The Weeknd…

Unless you’re a dedicated Belieber or fan of The Weeknd, you were probably surprised to see them top your list. They both came out with albums this year too, but it feels like that was five years ago thanks to all 2020 has put us through. Now that you think about it you played multiple of their songs on repeat when their albums came out during the beginning of this year.  They were true bops and now you can’t stop listening to them again.

If your top artist was Lorde, Megan Thee Stallion, or Conan Gray…

You most definitely watch a lot of TikTok, no shame. You’re proud of it and honestly, you should be… you found some awesome artists because of it. Whether you started to listen to them because of TikTok or have been fans since day one, you were excited to share your top artists on social media. These three add a little spice to your music taste and make you seem a little less basic.

If your top artist was Shawn Mendes or Harry Styles…

You are a huge fan and most likely have giant crushes on these men. Nobody can blame you for it though, their music is good and we all listen to it, even if they aren’t in our top artists. Chances are One Direction made your top artists list too, despite the fact that they broke up years ago. You were probably a Belieber back in the day as well.

If your top artist was Drake or Pop Smoke…

Although these are common artists for their genre, you pride yourself on being unique. You’re most likely the kind of person who hates the idea of sharing your Spotify Wrapped top artists and songs on social media because that would make you basic. You still like to listen to pop music, but you more often enjoy rap or hip-hop. You also pop off on aux, just saying.
