This past Saturday, March 26, 2016, UConn’s International Student & Scholar Services hosted WorldFest 2016. WorldFest is an annual event that sheds light on the many different cultures present on campus.
WorldFest celebrates diversity through various cultural booth displays, performances and international food. This year there were performances by Illumin8 Dance Crew, B.A.I.L.E., BodyWise Zumba instructors, and many more. In addition, there was a fashion show that presented different cultural styles from around the world.
Overall, the event was a good reminded of how diverse UConn is and of all the cultural clubs waiting for you to join. Whether you were getting beautiful Henna at the Tarang booth or grabbing an empanada from the Colombian Student Association, it was an event worth attending.
