UConn Men's Ice Hockey Team to go to Hockey East Playoffs

On Friday night, February 26th, the UConn Men's Ice Hockey team had their senior night to honor the seniors on the team: #4 Kyle Huson, #28 Joey Ferriss, #24 Patrick Kirtland, and #9 Shawn Pauly. The Men's Ice Hockey team faced off against the University of New Hampshire's Wildcats and had the lead 1-0 in the first period and eventually secured their win by the third period and winning the game, 4-1. The game continued the next day in New Hampshire as the two teams faced off and again, the Huskies won again 5-4 in overtime! Woo! Go Huskies!

With these victories, the Men's Ice Hockey team is set to host the First Hockey East Home Playoff Series this weekend, March 4-6, Friday to Sunday, at the XL Center for a best-of-three series against the University of Vermont. Tickets to the hockey games are free and can be picked up from the Ticket Office by the Student Recreation Center and bus tickets (#icebus) are for purchase for $4 from the Student Union!
